The much-awaited and the grandest fashion night of the year, the MET Gala witnessed a myriad of celebrities dressed in their best. Sudha Reddy, wife of Hyderabad-based billionaire businessman Megha Krishna Reddy, made her red carpet debut for the much-awaited fashion night of the year, the MET Gala, in a haute couture gown by ace designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock. She is also the Director of Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL). Sudha has described herself as an avid connoisseur of art and fashion in her Instagram bio and is widely known for her charitable disposition. The event has earlier witnessed appearances by several Indian celebrities, such as Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Isha Ambani among a few in the past. However, this year, the only person from the country was Sudha, the first non-film personality from Hyderabad.
For her red carpet look, Sudha glittered in the gorgeous number. The gown, which took 250 hours to make according to the designers, did full justice to Sudha’s eclectic persona. "We have created a novel edgy military-inspired look that blends well with the overall theme of the MET Gala,” the Falguni and Shane Peacock said.

The body-hugging gown had the hues of the American National flag embroidered over it in sequins and was heavily embellished with gold, red and navy-blue coloured Swarovski crystals, beads and sequins.
For accessories, Sudha opted for a custom-made piece by jewellery designer Farah Khan called Dreamy Decadence. "Drawing inspiration from the stars in the American flags that symbolise the 50 glorious independent states of America, I designed a sensual ear cuff with diamond encrusted stars. It is crafted in 18 kt gold with 35 carats of VVS diamonds," the designer added.
