How to create a PowerPoint template?
- Open PowerPoint on your PC and choose a new, blank presentation.
- Click “Design” in the top navigation bar, and choose a theme. You can also customize your theme template using Format Background on the right.
- Now, in the “View” tab, select “Slide Master.” By doing this you will be able to view your master slide at all times, and how changes are made to all the slides.
- From here, you can edit anything in your PowerPoint template. For example, I have added two rectangular shapes and a logo using the Insert option.

To save the template on your device:
- Go to “File” in the top navigation bar and click “Save As”, and click “Browse” to choose the location where you want to save it.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to “File Type”, and select “Powerpoint Template.” When you do this, your template will automatically be saved in the folder you chose.
- Give it a name you like, then click “Save.”
