I knew telling hopeful sophomores searching for their summer internships and nervous graduating seniors looking for a half decent job that they needed to submit a different resume for all of the (many, many) positions they planned on applying for wasn’t going to make their day. I would quickly explain the news wasn’t as bad as it seemed: there’s a simple solution. Because I didn’t say they had to write and design a completely different resume for each position. They just needed to submit a different one.
